KIDS
Sunnyside Kids is a space for kids to be safe, known, and loved as they encounter God. If you’re a fifth grader or younger, this is your Sunday morning spot! What’s a typical Sunday morning like? We’re glad you asked.
Check-in
First thing’s first: You’ve gotta check in! Sunnyside Kids check-in begins 15 minutes prior to service. Families start at the check-in counter located down the hallway through the double-doors in the lobby – there is a sign to point the way! Our check-in team will greet you and invite parents to type in their phone number on the check-in screen.
If it is your first Sunday with us, we’ll invite you to fill out the New Family Form before you check in. You can fill this form out ahead of time to make the check-in process even smoother! Be sure to add all your kids and two adults we can contact.
You’ll use your phone number to check your kids in. Then, we’ll print you three tags per kid: one for your kid to wear, one for the classroom teacher, and one for you to keep! Your tag will have a pick-up code identical to the code on your child’s nametag. We will only release your kid to you if you have this tag, so don’t lose it!
Next, you’ll head to your classroom, where you’ll be greeted by your class’s leaders! The Nursery is located at the Check-In station; PreK and Grade School kids will head down the stairs in the Lobby to their classrooms. For the safety of our kids, all our volunteers are background checked and trained, and we have at least two adults per classroom.

Nursery: Babies through 2’s
In the nursery, we go beyond childcare and consider it a privilege to love and hold your child. Your child will be cared for by our wonderful Nursery Team who share Jesus through music, play time, and loving interactions.
In Sunnyside Kids, we believe that learning should be dynamic and fun. Come ready to dive into our weekly Bible lesson from all angles: hands-on activities, worship, storytelling, conversation, prayer, and play! We love The Biggest Story curriculum because it doesn’t just teach us about the Bible – it gets us talking about who God is and what that means for us.
Pick-up
At the end of service, adults will pick up kids directly from their classrooms. (On sunny days, we’ll probably be outside at the playground – if this is the case, there will be signs to guide the way!) Your kid’s leader will check your pickup tag against your kid’s tag before sending them home with you – easy as 1-2-3!
We won’t release your kid without a matching pick-up tag, so don’t lose it! We love our older siblings, but kids must be checked out by adults over the age of 18.
